I was in the Lingerie store yesterday when something dawned upon me. I know I have hardly any pajamas or cute bras or underwear... all my stuff is seemingly getting to be worn out or broken. I keep thinking that it would be nice to have new nice fancy lounge-wear. It would make me happier to stay at home and feel pretty. And I could have the cute weightless cover-up "robe" type thing, or slippers that are "cushiony" again and don't have holes, and things to wear straight out of the shower while I'm getting ready, and underwear that isn't bulk... you get the picture.
And YET, I buy myself a lot of shirts. All kinds of shirts. I'm addicted to buying shirts. I don't even really care to buy pants, I buy them when I have to... but I would rather buy cute tops. People notice tops.
I don't buy many shoes, but having a few nice pairs of shoes really polish off an outfit.
I got to thinking, I should really be evaluating the ratios of time I spend in various situations, and buy my clothes accordingly. Not just drop all of my money into tops, maybe bottoms, and shoes when I'm desperate.
The lingerie store (or whatever you want to call it, the place that has all the cute pajamas and underwear) really doesn't have items that are that expensive. Something is always on sale, and you need to wear something every night. From now on, I think I'm going to amp-up that side of my wardrobe. It's long overdue for an update.
After that, I'll see...

I think it's a great idea to buy some pretty loungewear - I could have included that in my book as a self soothing strategy for when people aren't feeling so great, and spending the day on the couch or in bed. I have black lounge pants and a matching black and grey top. You've just reminded me to wear them.
